Your “No’s” in Life Could be Leading to your Best “Yes”
Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength...” My dad will have back surgery in the next couple of weeks and it has been quite a journey. His back has been bothering him since the beginning of the year and he is just now getting in to be seen by a doctor. This has not been without him checking with doctors all around the country and having them all say “no” more times than he could count. I know it has been a very stressful situation wondering if he will have full mobility again from the problem in his back. When I would talk with my dad he would always share with me that his perception of the surgery he needed was a simple laser procedure and would take less than 20 minutes. He had an MRI and other imaging of his condition that he showed to many doctors and facilities including a laser spine institute that wanted $20,000 to do the surgery. All of which told him no for whatever reason. But God knew why. The doctor that finally said yes didn’t just trust the imaging he received from my dad but put him through an additional battery of tests to check and see what was fully going on with his spine. The doctor found out exactly what was wrong and is going to do the surgery he needed which would not have happened if any of the other doctors had taken his case. The reason why I share this story is to encourage you that all the “no’s” in your life can actually be leading you to the ultimate “yes” that is exactly what you need. My dad is going to be getting the best care from the right doctor only because all the other physicians said no. In your life, is there something that you are believing for or maybe falsely striving for that you need to allow God to open a door instead of trying to “pick the locks” of life? Maybe it is in a relationship or maybe it is in finances. You can see things in the physical that you are trying to manipulate instead of praying and asking God to allow the right connections for the right moment. Maybe you are believing something for yourself that God doesn’t even want for you but you think it is a matter of life or death. NEVER forget that Jesus loves you and wants the best for you but patience is as much a part of the process with God as the right obedient actions. In fact, patience is the MOST important action when it comes to following God. So be encouraged today and know that God has great things in store for you. When you learn to wait on him and step out in obedience when HE says move and not just when you feel like moving you are operating in the highest level of obedience. We are praying for you and believing for God's BEST for your situation! Brian GM Rocky Mountain CTN
