I don’t want to sound trite or overly simplistic but the Bible is full of Good News!
After probably the weirdest year that any of us has ever been through; a pandemic, tense elections, all the fires across the US, churches and businesses closing, people losing jobs, people sick and dying in unprecedented numbers, the stock market, the economy.............. Just a crazy year but: I am looking ahead with Hope in My Heart. Leave behind the anxiety, the worry, and the fear from the past. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”. Jeremiah 29:11. Look forward and expect the best. Whatever you are worried about, your deepest darkest concerns, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. Believe the Lord when He tells us “trust in Him”. We’ve all heard John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son , that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” But what about John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through him”. God has a plan and we’re in it. We just need to ask him into our lives and in Isaiah 41:13 He says, “For I, the Lord your God, I hold your right hand; it is I who says to you, Fear not, I am the one who helps you”. In Psalms 91 it says “He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence and to not fear the terror of the night or the arrow that flies by day…” The bible is full of Good News! Life isn’t always easy. Whether it’s the mistakes that we make, or the things that can happen outside of our control, the Lord is there looking out for us. And He says in Hebrews 13:5 that “He will never leave you nor forsake you”. That means everything- to know that He is looking out for me. He wants the best for me. For us, For you! “Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits” Psalms 68:19 “So, forget what lies behind and strain forward to what lies ahead”, Philippians 3:13 and remember that “I can do all things through him who strengthens me”. I trust the Lord. He says he will look out for me and I believe Him. Commit ourselves to God, He has certainly committed Himself to us. The Lord is with you, just ask Him.
