I am not ashamed of the Gospel- Are you be able to say this?
In a recent research report, Barna states that cities across America are becoming Post-Christian. That’s certainly not what America was founded upon but when you look at the report which just came out and see the top one hundred cities in America that are now Post-Christian, secular and no longer Christian, you’ll be astounded. In one city back East, the majority say they don’t believe in God, they have never made a commitment to Jesus and 65% haven’t gone to church in the past six months. Only 13% say they have read the bible in the past week Post-Christian, that’s how America is being described. It’s up to us to do something about it. So many people in this research report don’t feel the need to “share their faith” and that’s where we come in. In Romans 1:16 Paul says “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.....” Mark 16:15 says “Jesus said to the eleven, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." If you see someone struggling, having a difficult time with health, work, family problems, help then and then take that opportunity to tell them how God has helped in your life, or a loved one’s life to get through some difficult times. God wants us to share his Love and give others hope. The Holy Spirit will give you opportunities and the words to say. Step out in Faith that He will use you to touch people's lives. Paul was not ashamed of the gospel, let's make sure that describes you as well. Dan Smith General Manager-KWHS-Colorado Springs @ Rocky Mountain CTN
