God Is Looking Out For Us
God is looking out for us, I have no doubt. We have all experienced a nudge, a push, an open door, a closed door, a hunch, a feeling that we SHOULD BE doing something or STOP doing something else.
I think my first encounter with the Lord came on a rainy, stormy afternoon. My high school buddy and I had just left another friend’s house. We were coming down a steep hill in his old Austin Mini-Cooper with rainwater coming up into the car from rust holes in the floor board. The brakes must have been soaking wet like our feet and when the stop light at the bottom of the hill turned red, we could not stop and blew through the intersection and ended up in a church parking lot dazed and confused, literally. We looked around and looked at each and had no idea how we ended up where we did. We’ve talked in the years since then and still aren’t sure how we got through that intersection, made two turns and into that church parking lot all in the pouring down rain.
God put us here on this Earth for a reason, and expects us to do the right thing, that which He wants us to do. I don’t think it was our time and to make the point, we ended up in a church parking lot.
I do think we’re all in this together and each of us has something to contribute.
Romans 12:4-5 says “Just as each of us has one body, with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ, we who are many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others”. We have to look after each other and help each other. I encourage you to ask God into your life with all your heart and He’ll be with you , protect you and show you the way.
Let's go into this last month of the year, with our eyes on Jesus and our hearts open to what He is speaking to us.
God Bless you,
