I started reading the book “Make Fear Bow” by Gary Whetstone the beginning of the year before all the Coronavirus situation started, and it is amazing to see the timing of God. I had this book and never actually read it before now and don’t even remember who gave it to me! It was written immediately after the 9/11 attacks on our country in 2001. To read the pages of this book you would think that the author was watching the coronavirus situation unfold and provide valuable insight into what people are feeling and going through when it comes to fear and the future.
The start of 2020 I was praying about my relationship with God and how, at times, I do not do well when it comes to worry and letting fear control my life. I think fear is a primary weapon the devil uses to get us to give up dreams and visions God gives us because we get overwhelmed with the thought of what it can take to make plans happen with our limited abilities. The best dreams and visions I have seen come to reality are ones that God had given me and were always beyond what my actions could accomplish without God’s help. As humans, we want our emotions to line up with dreams and visions and when those things deviate we are tossed into worry, stress or fear of the unknown. That is where the devil steps in and causes chaos in minds. This book hit something on the head for me and really resonated with the fearlessness we need if we are going to accomplish anything for God in this life. Check out this quote: ”Many people look for emotional support for their dreams. However, when their emotions seem to contradict their dreams they fall into fear. You must remember that emotions cannot support fearlessness. Only God can. When God gives a dream to you, it does not matter if your emotions counteract it. You see, by obeying God despite your feelings, the proper emotions come and your dream manifests! That’s how it works.” The fearlessness that we need to accomplish the visions God gives us is ONLY wrapped up in His power and ability to take us from a wonderer to a dreamer to a DOER! Once we recognize that fear will lead us astray and is just another normal emotional reaction in life, then we will focus on obedience to God and push through those thoughts of failure and lack. Today, take time to evaluate the dreams and visions God has given you and do not allow your emotional response to derail those plans. In fact, if you are feeling fear at the size and scope of what God has shared with you take hope! That can actually be the BIGGEST confirmation that the vision is from God and not from something that you could accomplish without His help. Let your “natural” line up with His “Super” so that you can walk in the SUPERNATURAL today! Praying for you! Brian General Manager, RMCTN
