I've never been pregnant or ridden on the back of a donkey, so needless to say I haven't done either of those things at the same time. I can only imagine how difficult just THAT was making the journey to Bethlehem, much less having the realization of carrying the Son of God - THE SON OF GOD! On top of that having to give birth in a smelly cave that animals stayed. Would my thoughts have been "Yahweh, you chose me to carry and give birth to your son, but you didn't really reserve a great place for me to do that in....um......thanks?"
On the other hand, She was carrying the THE SON OF GOD! I think having the presence of heaven, one part of the being of God inside of her body would have been an experience that could not be expressed. That must have been some Holy experience for 9 months. In my book, Mary was an incredible girl (remember, she was just a teenager) and I can't wait to spend some time with her when I get to heaven, oh and see the replay/video of those amazing months. Just my thoughts this holiday season. Merry Christmas! Yolanda Assistant Manager @ Rocky Mountain CTN
