Matthew 7:24-27- Words that Jesus spoke
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.” I really don’t know any Christian who wants to be called foolish, yet we see so many who don’t want to take the time to build a firm foundation in their walk with God. When the storms of life come-and they will-it’s too late to lay a solid foundation. That’s when you discover what kind of foundation your life is built on, so don’t take the easy road by using shoddy materials or taking shortcuts. Be willing to acknowledge your weaknesses and work on them. Some of the spiritually strongest people I know have acknowledged their weaknesses and worked on them and put up fire walls so that they wouldn’t slip back into old, unhealthy habits and lifestyles. Today, commit to building a firm foundation in your walk with God by participating in Bible studies (including memorizing scriptures), spending time in worship and prayer and building a network of believers that will encourage and support you in your walk with God. Let’s be part of the WISE army of God. Yolanda Assistant Manager at RMCTN
