In 2019 let's allow God to lead more than ever before, Be obedient to His direction more than we ever have, Love more than we have ever shown love, Listen for His heartbeat more than we have ever taken the time to listen.
As the world shouts louder for attention, let God be the compass and let Him strengthen you and uphold you with His Victorious right hand as you let go of fear and anxiety. There is nothing better than God's presence. In 2019, choose to walk, dance, linger in it. HIS PRESENCE CHANGES EVERYTHING!

One of the prophetic names of Jesus is “Prince of peace” given in Isaiah 9:6. How can we not think of Peace at this time of year? Don’t we just want to shout” HUSH, BE NICE, STOP THE INSANITY, SETTLE DOWN!”
The problem is: there are so many people that don’t have peace with themselves, their situations or their past. Peace isn’t even in their scope of how they deal with life. Here are the definitions of peace: Freedom from disturbance; quiet and tranquility Freedom from or the cessation of war or violence Absence of mental stress or anxiety Synonyms- Calm, restfulness, harmony, agreement, unity, order Antonyms- disagreement, hate, discord, agitation, frustration, distress, worries * Peace is the concept of harmonious well-being and freedom from hostile aggression Some ways to live out peace: * Seek to Love, not control others * Seek Forgiveness, not revenge * Be the change you wish to see in the world * When something happens to you that causes mental stress or anxiety, take a deep breath and ask Holy Spirit “What do I do, How do I respond”? * Take some time for silence. Sometimes we have so much say or think that we don’t take time to listen. God wants us to have answers and direction, that’s not something He wants to withhold from us. Sometimes we just need to listen. * Stop allowing yourself to be influenced by media. * Be rational. Ask yourself “Are my worries realistic”? What does God have or want for me? What is His truth? * Exercise * Express gratitude- Did your husband do the dishes? Say thank you. Did your kids bring in their backpack from the car and hang it on the hook? Say thank you. Did your wife fold the laundry? Say thank you. Even though every one of those things may be that person’s responsibility, saying thank you brings value. It will change the atmosphere in your home. * Decide what is important- Everything is not Defcon 1 and you can’t do everything in 1 day. It may help to make a list and organize your week. * Make boundaries for technology. Too much information taken into the brain can create chaos. * Make time to do something you love. Learn to enjoy life and play. Not everything should be hard and seem like a task. * Leave time between tasks or appointments * Tame your tongue (Titus 3:2)- Be mindful of what comes out of your mouth * Obey Holy Spirit- He loves you more than you could imagine. His ways are to bless not harm * Be gracious- Display the love of God that lives inside of you Most of the time we don’t display peace because we don’t have peace WITH ourselves. Start with you, Let Holy Spirit work in you to shift your mind, spirit, soul and body. When you practice peace for yourself, it will be so much easier to walk it out with others. Peace is a fruit of the Spirit. When we walk in peace, we display the work of Christ in us. Pray for others: We don’t know what kind of turmoil is going on inside of them and we may be the only one bringing them before the Father. Never negate the power of prayer for someone else. Let us all work to display peace this holiday season and continue it in the days ahead. Merry Christmas and a blessed 2019 Yolanda Assistant Manager at Rocky Mountain CTN Enjoy Life. Consider Eternity. Our Aurora tower signal is going to be down today and the next few days during daytime hours due to an issue with equipment that is related to another vendor that uses the tower. They have to turn off power as they repair the issue.
Our Ft. Collins signal, cable companies, streaming on our website and Colorado Springs stations will all STAY on the air. Thank you In moving to our station up to Westminster, I am still trying to acclimate to my surroundings including places to eat. I think my natural inclination is to eat at places that I know are established or have been recommended by people I trust.
There is a small Mexican restaurant that is less than a mile from the station that has always intrigued me. Every time I drive by it, morning, noon or night, there is a line around the building in the drive thru. I decided to test my fate and go have a $2 breakfast burrito this am and I was not disappointed. I am sure that I will be going back there not only for the reasonable price, but the delicious food that all those drive thru people apparently knew way before I did. I then thought about our relationship with Jesus. Do pre-believers in Jesus see people who say they are followers of Christ hanging around Jesus in speech and actions? Do people “drive by” our lives and see that we are always with him and not just when it’s convenient to be? Do people see us running to Jesus when trouble hits instead of engaging in the same “coverups” that people without Christ use? When Christians realize that they are not better people than those who don’t know Jesus but just people who have found a better way, then we will be able to draw in those who are looking for a different way of dealing with problems but finding a whole lot more in Christ when they give him a chance. Just like that little Mexican restaurant I went to this morning, seeing people there all the time compelled me to try it out and I am now hooked. Today, don’t think about how you are going to tell someone about Jesus, but how you are going to compel them to see that Jesus is not only the solution to their problems but the way, the truth and the life! Luke 14:23 Then the master told his servant, “Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.” HEART OF CHRISTMAS:
Heart of Christmas is a creative musical that tells the life story of Ruth, an orphan survivor of World War II. After she's adopted by an American nurse and a British soldier, Ruth arrives to her new home in America. During her very first Christmas with her new family, Ruth receives a gift that would become a family heirloom—a book called The Servant King. This book will take you back to Biblical times to experience some of the most defining moments in the history of mankind. Rocky Mountain CTN has partnered with Andrew Wommack Ministries and will receive part of the proceeds of the purchase of the Heart of Christmas DVD. You can order on-line at www.ctnhoc.org or call: 719-635-1111 (Product# 3019-D) *You can even send this as a gift* As we enter the Christmas season, it is interesting to note the word “joy” and what it means to people.
I read a disturbing article over the weekend that said people would rather have money than meaningful relationships if they had to decide what makes them the most happy. My question is what happens when the money is gone? Then is the happiness gone as well? And even in relationships with others, know that someday we all will die and meet eternity, what happens even to that happiness? The official definition of Joy is a feeling of great pleasure or happiness. We know that feelings are basically “decisional emotions” that we choose to focus on. When I think of my life on this earth, I am brought back to the Bible and what it says about where I place my joy and seek for that happiness. It is not in money or things, or even in other people but in Christ alone. Romans 15:13 says May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. I like how it says, “...the God OF hope” meaning that he is a God who inspires us to have faith to find joy and trust that he is not just able but willing to help us in all areas of our lives. Hope does not operate apart from trust, in fact, it is the forward looking aspect of faith! (Matthew Henry Commentary) If joy is the conscious decision to have happiness in our lives then that is directly connected to hope. Some people hope in their money and that brings them a level of temporary joy. Or others look for that joy in relationship to others on this earth. But the only true and lasting joy is hope in Jesus and the Holy Spirit helping us to not only have hope but to ABOUND in hope leading to us having joy. Another important thing to consider is the structure of your life when it comes to joy. If the culmination of your happiness and joy in the Lord each week is an hour and a half at church and nothing else, you are going to be in a world of hurt spiritually, mentally and emotionally. We need to be spending time getting to know Jesus each day with the intention not of getting our way but asking for HIS way to be done in us. Today is the day to choose joy in life and see challenging circumstances in your life as opportunities for God to show up and show off and trust that he has it all under control! |
